WEDNESDAY 2 OCTOBER: CENTERPARCS WOBURN FOREST, MILLBROOK, BEDS

Our group has never had a field meeting at this site and indeed it has not been studied for its fungi. However Beds Invertebrate Group have had several very successful excursions here finding many interesting species of invertebrates. There is a good range of habitats and a diverse flora so there is certainly potential for many interesting fungi.  Lucie Vicentijevic, their Conservation Officer, will accompany us, and those who wish will be able to purchase lunch in the staff canteen.

Turn south off the A507 (Woburn Road) near Millbrook into Fordfield Road. The entrance to CenterParcs is then 500 yards on the right (Grid ref: TL014375; postcode MK45 2HZ), then follow signs.
